Hello.
May I start by saying welcome to the new forum. This is perhaps the only time I will post something 'Non Football' in the wrong board. However it will be posted in there too.
Firstly can I ask you to spread the word of this forum, and of course register for an account.
This forum was created by my good self after the sad demise of The Fishy. My aim is to turn this into a busy forum with some interesting reads and a bit of joking around. Anything (Almost) goes on here' all I ok is you keep it all clean and legal.I also ask that newcomers are welcomed ad that you respect people's different opinions.
If you have a complaint about a user or post, please do report it. I will take whatever action deemed necessary. Any user regularly causing reason for compain't will be banned.
As the forum is new, there will, obviously bee some faults. If you are unfortu ate enough to come across one, or perhaps have an improvement idea, please post this I the feedback section of 'Non Football'. Please be patient while any bugs are ironed out and understand that though the forum may not be busy now, it will be.
Please register for an account and come back regularly. May you post happily.
Enjoy.

Okay then, here goes.
It's a bit lonely here at the moment, but hopefully a few more fishy exiles will find their way here soon.

Hello,
The fishy was a wonderful site full of wit and insight,
however there were a LOT of dickheads.
Let's hope this site is more like the former

It's a shame it is so quiet on here - I was hoping for a summary on yesterdays match as I was unable to attend.

Hello all, Delighted someone has taken the initiative and re-installed an unofficial board, as an ex Fishy i have been very underwhelmed by the OS, very little of interest or humour on there and i badly missed the Fishy, but i suppose each to their own. Hope this site can take over the mantle of the Fishy without the usual suspects ruining it by intolerance of others, plain aggression, pettiness and rudeness, just hope that the new site can be better moderated than the Fishy, which i think was the only problem with an otherwise excellent site.
The very best of luck, really hope that this takes off and i look forward to using the site regularly.

To get more forum members it might be worth asking the GY Evening Telegraph to mention this new site - they did mention the fishy when it closed - for example, i knew nothing about this new site until someone on the OS mentioned it, i'm sure that would be the case with many more ex fishy members.

Hi lads another ex-fishy member come to join, is this where everyone is meeting up as it looks a bit short on numbers?

Early days, hope the sites admin can get some publicity for the forum, make people aware of its existence and get some of the many good posters from the Fishy on board.

Hello petethemariner and welcome to the forum. Some attempts have been made to get this forum publicity (RadioHumberside SportsnTalk and several general football forums that a few town fans post on) The Grimsby Telegraph is not something we have thought of however and is something that we will look into. Thanks. Admin

Thanks for the reply, I think once the season starts this forum could fly if people were made aware of it, if the local paper could publicise it as a Fishy replacement, minus the WUMS, it could be a great site.
Good Luck!
